Lucien KnickerbockerLucien Harvey Knickerbocker was born February 25, 1839, in Cazenovia, New York, son of John Knickerbocker and Sally Williams.  He came to Wisconsin before 1860.  He is listed as living in Appleton and working as a paper maker.  In 1870 he again is living in Appleton and working in a tannery and in 1880 he is working in a spoke factory

He married Alice Ellen Donohue June 27, 1860 in Appleton, WI
They had four children: Cashious B., Lorena E., Willis Harvey and Ida Jennie.

He died in Appleton June 23, 1893 and is buried there

Alice Ellen Donohue was born November 12, 1845 in Ireland or “on the Sea” depending on which census statement you prefer to follow.

When she married Lucien Knickerbocker she was 14 - 4 months shy of her 15th birthday

She survived Lucien by 30 years, she is listed in the 1900 and later census’ as running a boarding house

She is also listed in records and in family history as both Ellen Alice  and Alice Ellen
